
The Case company was started in Rochester, Wisconsin in 1842 by Jerome Case. It was moved to Racine, Wisconsin There he began to manufacture threshers. In 1853, 3 partners joined J.I. Case to form J.I. Case & Company. They adopted the Eagle Trademark, “Old Abe”, in 1865.
1869 saw them built their first steam engine This engine had to be moved around by horses.
This developed into a first steam traction engine by 1876.
1892 saw their first Case farm tractor.

Calagary’s Heritage Park
